Busting the Myths of Ofsted
Course details
Could your school be perpetuating practices primarily because you understand them to be required by an inspector?
We all know that inspection frameworks change and with that there are changes to what is scrutinized and what is expected. This may lead to some activities and monitoring that you think must be done for Ofsted yet which doesn't benefit your teachers or your children.
This will be a leadership session using inspection examples to give you clarity and confidence to debunk the myths.
Using the October 2017 guidance you will explore the myths around:
- Lesson Planning
- Self-evaluation
- Grading of lessons
- Lesson Observations
- Pupil’s work
- Evidence for Inspection
- Statutory provisions
- Leadership and Governance
